Women, Transformation And Vision Boards

My dreams and desires vision boardAs a woman I can relate better to other women, it’s probably because we are from the same planet, according to the book “Men are from Mars and Women from Venus.”

A few days ago I assisted at a retreat. Most participants were women, with one courageous man attending. The theme was: taking care of our needs, being present and connecting to the deeper parts of ourselves.

Most of the women arrived stressed out, either emotionally or physically (or both) and were looking for some way to find joy and relaxation in life. They were overworked, took care of too many people for too many years, with nobody there to take care of their needs, well  it’s a classic story. But when they left everybody was glowing, had a big smile on their face and promised to schedule pampering time for themselves on a regular bases.

We did a soul collage session and everybody enjoyed the time to be playful, to get in touch with their inner creativity, to mess around and share their creations with others. It was great to see how joyful creative action is and that it needs to be expressed. It does not matter if you express it through cooking, painting, singing, communicating, dancing, writing, etc., it just needs to be expressed. It does not matter what the results are, it’s about the meditative process, of totally being absorbed.

“Creativity is our gift from god and to express it is our gift back to god.”

It was wonderful to connect to our dreams and to say it “out loud” what we wished to achieve in life.  At the end we started talking about the effectiveness of vision boards and what a great tool it is to:

  • find out about our dreams
  • focus on our dreams
  • manifest our dreams

It’s a great way to create our lives and yes we can!

Most of the participants have not made a vision board and some have not even heard of it. We talked about the concept, what it is, why we make vision board and most of them got very excited, including myself. So probably we will get some vision board workshops going very soon.

It is a magical process, get unstuck, experience the ultimate creative act, of creating your life.
