How to manifest your dreams is obviously one of the most important ingredients in how to make a vision board work. It’s also the part most people struggle with. Why is the concept so hard? My opinion is, that we all are brought up to be in control of our lives to make things happen, to figure out how to do whatever we want to do.
But the manifesting instructions tell us to leave the how to the” universe”, to our subconscious, or to a “higher power,” if you will. We are asked to surrender control, now that’s hard! Do you have a problem with the concept? I sure do, I have to practice it every day. It took me 50 plus years to establish certain habits and beliefs and it cannot be changed over night. So be patient, watch your belief system, or how you think and practice something new one step at a time.

When you have just a wish, it’s not strong enough. You have to have a goal, a burning desire. You have to be totally inspired in order to achieve your your life goal and to translate it into action. See the end result, feel it, make sure it’s what you really want and take little steps toward your goals.
- Is it what your heart desires
- Are you willing to do whatever it takes to get it?
You have to want it strong enough in order to manifest. It has to be laser sharp in your mind and ideally, in some way your dream should be connected to making some contribution to others. For example: you are an artist or a healer, providing some great product or service, that facilitates, beautifies or improves lives, heals, helps, inspires, or teaches people. Now don’t be scared, it does not mean you have to save the world, it could just be that you add kindness, or inspiration to your surroundings, it can be big, but it does not have to start out enormous. Sometimes you start out with something small and it turns into something big. You just start with the next obvious step.
One practical example: you are a therapist, or counselor and you want to help more people to overcome a certain problem, let’s say you specialize in helping people with relation ship problems and you want to lead workshops. So maybe the next action step is to sign up to become more comfortable with public speaking. When you do this you might meet someone who gives you another contact or tip for your next step……and on it goes!

- Toastmasters
- Classes at your local college
When you want to manifest, you have a firm desire, leave the outcome to the universe, so you don’t have to figure out how to get there, but you must take action. If you want to learn more about the process check out Robert MacPhee’s book: Manifesting for Non Gurus and the journal to help practice his 5 steps to manifestation. Robert is one of my mentors and I participate in his program and it helps me to stay in touch with who I am and what I want to manifest in my life. It is a magical process, enjoy the ultimate creative act, of creating your life.
