“Make sure you visualize what you really want, not what someone else wants for you.”
I myself did not have a clue what I wanted. I had to learn how to visualize, by asking myself the question over and over again. The more I learned about myself, the more it just happened. Making vision boards has been a life changing process to get to know myself and get in touch with my desires.
You do not have to work on it, most of the work will be done by your subconscious mind, but you have to learn how to visualize by practicing.
To visualize or know what you want is the first and one of most important steps when you make a vision board. You have to know where you want to go if you want to achieve your life dreams and goals. So let’s explore how that works.
A good way to start is to get a journal and title it something like: vision journal, vision of my life, or whatever else makes sense to you and reminds and inspires you to use it. You can decorate it, glue inspiring images on it make it pretty and inviting. Carry it around with you and ask yourself the question:
- What do I want?
- What do I want my dream life to be like?
- What does my work life look like
- What does my ideal home look like?
- What is my ideal relationship like?
- What is my ideal weight and my health like?
Try to see the ideal scenario in your mind, see it as clearly as you can and with as much detail as possible. If you want to live near the ocean smell the air, if you want to live in nature smell the trees, hear the birds, feel the wind. Do you want to travel, where do you want to go? be as exact as possible. How does it feel to be successful and free. What do you do, what does your life partner look like, how does it feel to spend time with him, what do you do together, how does he treat you?
Your life is a blank canvas you just make it up and your subconscious mind will find ways to manifest your dreams and desires. Learn who you are and you will know what you want. If you know what you want you will be in charge of your life, focused and filled with purpose, even in simple things.
“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with success unexpected in common hours.”
