Vision Boards Are More Than a Craft Project

Collages made for school or fun are essentially vision boards, the difference is the aspect and approach that is taken to create the board. For example a school project assignment may be to make a collage of items related to technology. This is a pretty straightforward and easy to accomplish assignment. The student would choose images, logos etc. of computers, cell phones and modems along with other forms of advertisements and promotion of technological items.

When it’s not an assignment but more of situation where the collage you create will help you change your life it’s a little more in-depth than that. Suppose you’re making a vision board about a career change. You will need to look at careers that interest you, why they interest you and how qualified you are for a specific career. Beyond that there is the issue of possibly needing to further your education before making a career change and how all of this will affect your finances as well. So if you are an accountant and you want to become a dog groomer your vision board will be filled with helpful and informative images, quotes and notations as to how you can achieve this new goal.

Creativity and getting in touch with your inner desires is part of creating a vision board, but knowing why you are making the board is the first step toward actually making changes in your life. Many times we pass up careers that would fulfill and satisfy us in order to take positions that pay the bills better in the short term. A vision board can help you figure out how to integrate the career you want into the lifestyle you have. Sure you may have to continue to be an accountant for a few years while you build your dog grooming business up but your vision board will help you plot the steps and the milestones until you are able to be a full-time dog groomer.

It’s easy to find yourself in an unsatisfying job, an unhappy marriage or just feeling completely unfulfilled in your life. Take the time to discover what your inner passions are and begin working towards happiness, fulfillment and satisfaction in all aspects of your life. Make a vision board, make several vision boards and heed what you discover about yourself. Use these tools to implement change in your life.Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Marita_Steffe
